AREA INFORMATION
Experience a relaxing holiday in one of the most picturesque wine-making towns on the Moselle river. The tranquil town of Bruttig-Fankel lies between the towns of Cochem (7 kilometres away), with its Reichsburg castle and Beilstein (3 kilometres away), a place of pilgrimage due to the town''s Black Madonna statue, dating back to the 12th or 13th century, making it a prime location for getting to know the most famous and beautiful attractions in the Moselle valley.
The charming town of Zell is also well worth a visit and lies another 30 kilometres south along the Moselle river.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
When arriving from the north, on the A1/A61 motorway, take the exit for Mendig onto the A48 motorway, direction Trier. Take the exit for Kaisersesch and drive through the town of Cochem, taking the first right after the bridge (route L98) and following the Moselle river for 7 kilometres through Valwig, until Bruttig.
When approaching from the south leave the A61 motorway at the Rheinböllen exit and take route B50, direction Kirchberg. Before reaching Kirchberg take route B421, direction Zell. 8 kilometres before Zell take the turning for Beilstein, going over Moritzheim and Grenderich. Once you’ve reached the Moselle river in Beilstein turn right and after 3 kilometres you will have reached Bruttig.
