AREA INFORMATION
Here in the hotel you are only a few kilometres away from the beautiful and fascinating Old Town of Dresden and its inimitable Baroque architecture. You can experience world heritage jewels here practically right on your doorstep. Recommended sights in Dresden include the Zwinger palace, the Church of Our Lady, Dresden castle, Brühl’s terrace nicknamed the “balcony of Europe” and the Semper opera. Other gems include the Fürstenzug (Procession of princes) wall mural, the Church of the Trinity or Pfund’s Dairy – the most beautiful milk shop in the world.
The area around Dresden also offers many fine places to visit: Meißen, the Moritzburg hunting lodge, the so-called Sächsische Schweiz (Saxon Switzerland) mountain range, the castles in Pillnitz and Wesenstein, the cities of Freiberg and Müglitztal, as well as the popular Spreewald forest with its romantic boat trips. Also worth visiting are Upper Lusatia and the Zittau mountains close to the border triangle between Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Arriving from the Chemnitz direction:
- approach along the A4 motorway as far as ''Dreieck Dresden West''
- travel along the A17 motorway and take the ''Dresden-Gorbitz'' exit
- take the B173 towards Dresden and take the right-hand exit at the industrial estate via ''Altfranken'', and the next place you will come to is Pesterwitz.
Arriving from the Berlin direction:
- approach along the A13 motorway and take the ''Altstadt'' exit
- travel along the B6 and take the ''Zentrum / Hotelroute Gelb (D)'' exit
- leave the D route where you see the sign for the hotel, and then take the Rudolf-Renner-Straße, Kesselsdorfer Straße and Saalhausener Straße.
