About the City:

Miami , the city of sun and sand is located in the state of Florida in United States. Florida has a string of islands that stretches to the southern most point of the continental United States. Miami is the island of Florida that visited and loved by tourist from all over the world. Miami being a part of nation’s eleventh largest metropolitan area, is a gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Now 105 years old, city of Miami gets a flow of millions of visitors each year coming to either to do business or just to enjoy countless pleasures of this area. Miami Beach is soon becoming a favorite holiday spot for mostly everyone around the globe. With its art deco museums and shopping districts, displaying new world architecture, the “ 5 th Avenue of the South” attracts thousands of tourists each year. Time could be passed in Miami by watching people as Miami’s South Beach, as getting famous celebrities and models dressed in their swimsuits, this white sand covered beach is popular spot for fashion shoots also. Not just that, this area is famous for its hip and happening nightlife.

Tourist Attractions:

Miami is crawling with attractions to lure each and everyone to this city. For art and history enthusiasts, there are Vizcaya Museum and Gardens that offer a tribute to Italian Renaissance. The museum was built in 1916 and has original artworks surrounded by lush gardens and Miami Museum, showcase of international and Western Art. There is also Wing over Miami Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Police Hall Of Fame Museum, which is memorial to almost 6,000 US police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. It also has a jail cage, an electric chair and other law enforcement artifacts

For shoppers, Aventura Mall, which is South Florida’s Super Mall, has 250 shops and restaurants and a movie complex too. Miami Sea aquarium can be visited to see a unique dolphin show and a killer whale walk on water. Days could even be passed by visiting spas and getting your skin pampered at the Spa at Doral, Le Spa that uses complete Lancôme products.

Even sports interested people could find something to do, as there is Doral Resort White Golf course and Red Golf course, Silver golf course, Gold Golf course and Granada Golf Course. Bike Path that has 2.3miles of bile path along the course. Nighttime is party time in the city of Miami with whole city swinging to the beats to music playing in different bars and clubs like Mynt, Level, 320, Crobar, Rumi and Opium Garden

Close Destinations:

Apart from Miami, neighborhoods of Miami are also excellent places to visit and explore. Little Haiti which is a Caribbean style marketplace and a replica of the Iron Market is the center of Haiti Culture in Miami’s neighborhood. Little Havana is another spirited neighborhood that possess as more Cuban Feel. Here the sights, sounds and smells are intoxicatingly Cuban. When visiting this place, having a traditional Cuban meal or Cubano Sandwich and empanadas are must.

Other neighborhood destinations include Calle Ocho, Downtown Miami, Sunny Isles and Design district. If interested in taking a trip out of Miami to near by destination, then Fort Lauderale would be a great choice where camping and picnicking could be done at Hugh Taylor Birch State Recreation Area that is in the middle of this city and covers 180 acres.

For traveling to Miami, summer times are much fun to enjoy real sun and sand. For booking tickets from anywhere around the world, travel agents or airlines offices or internet could be used. From India major airlines fly to Miami like Air India, American airlines, Delta, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Continental. Flying time may vary between 28hours to 35hours depending on stopovers.

Miami could easily be explored on foot as well connected roads by easy to follow directions. Within Miami city, there is good system of transportation by buses and rails. Shuttle services are also operated for other cities from Miami.
